Enough R to write a thesis

Together with Dr Aud Halbritter, Dr Jonathan Soulé and others, I wrote Enough R to write a thesis. This is a collection of interactive workbooks and shiny apps to teach the use of R, quarto for reproducible documents, git and GitHub for version control, and R package development.

These workbooks are used to support regular and special courses.

Teaching packages, tutorial and apps

  • shinyleaves: a shiny app to help explain how leaf scans are processed to calculate leaf area.
  • checker: an R package to check students have correctly installed R. This package greatly reduces the number of students with problems trying to use old versions of R.
  • register: an R package to make quizes on canvas to register attendance in class.
